Luke H. Siegfried. 93. ex-council member for Stockertown

Luke H. Siegfried, 93, of 212 Old Easton Road, Stockertown, died Saturday in his home. He was the husband of Helen G. (Harms) Siegfried. They were married 51 years in June.

He was a master machinist for the Wood Newspaper Machinery Co., Easton, for many years before retiring in 1968.

Born in Plainfield Township, he was a son of the late Clyde and Annie (Breidinger) Siegfried.

He was a former deacon and secretary of Forks Lutheran Church.

He was a Stockertown Borough Council member from 1964-76.

He was a former District Deputy and Chief Patriarch of Noble Grand Aluta Lodge 488 and former chaplain of Encampment Lodge 55, International Order of Odd Fellows, both in Bushkill Township.

He was former president, secretary and shop steward of the International Association of Machinists local in the Lehigh Valley.

He was a former board member and volunteer fireman for the Stockertown Fire Co. and a former board member of the Stockertown Memorial Hall Association.

He was a former secretary of the Stockertown Youth Association and former Boy Scout Representative, Stockertown Troop, Min-si Trail Council.

He was a former Stockertown representative of the Cement Belt Municipal Association.

Survivors: Wife; sons, Craig K. of Easton and Carter E. of Rock-ford, El., and two grandsons. He was predeceased by a daughter, Vivian Masi.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E. Center St., Nazareth. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
