She was the wi fe of Daniel Ahlum. She was principal of Richard E. Strayer Junior High School, and served t he Quakertown School District for 41 years until retiring in 1975. She began her career at Quakertown as a business education teacher in 193 4. After nine years, she was promoted to assistant principal for what w as then the junior-senior high school, where she served from 1943 to 195 6. She became principal of the new junior high school in 1956. A graduate of Drexel University, she received a master's degree in educati on and administration from Lehigh University, Bethlehem. Born in Meridan, Conn., she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Nadine P latoff. Survivor: Husband. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral Home, 20 N. Ambler S t., Quakertown.
