Henry M. Johnson, 82, Succumbs At Lewisburg

Henry M. Johnson, 82, of 207 South Second street. Lewisburg. died at 6 o'clock Monday evening following an illness of a year. He had been bedfast one week.

A native of McEwensville, he was born November 27, 1868, the son of the late John and Louise Frankenfield Johnson. He had spent much of his life in Lewis burg, and until retirement six years ago, had been a member of the. Bucknell University mainten ance staff. Prior to that he had been a blacksmith.

Mr. Johnson attended First Baptist Church. He and his wife, the former Barbara Eisley, were married September 22, 1892, his death severing a happy marital union of more than 58 years.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Miss Ruth Johnson, at home; three sons, Gregg, Phillip and Robert John son, Lewisburg; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank Johnson, Geneva, N. Y., and -a sister, Mrs. Carrie Solt, Duboistown.

Services will be held at 2 o' clock Thursday afternoon from the late residence with Rev. Dr. Charles C. Knapp, pastor of First Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lewisburg cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of Glenn E. Dornsife, Lewisburg mortician.
