Mr. Amandus Young died at thehome of his step-daughter, Mrs. James Walte r, on Monday, January 12. The funeral was held at the home on Thursday aft ernoon, at one o'clock. Rev. George Fitz preached the sermon and was assis ted inthe service by Rev.Melvin E. Wheatley. The burial was at Greensboro.
Mr. Young was born in Berks County, pa., July 30, 1843. He came to Maryl and in 1875, and was married to Miss Laura col, of this county, in 1892. S he died about five years ago. Survivors of his family are: Mrs.Walter ofRi dgely, and her sister, Mrs. Arthur Rentzheimer, of Bethlehm, Pa.; also thr ee sisters of Mr. Young, Mrs. John Rutt of Bangor, Pa.; Mrs. James Ha y, of Easton, Pa., and Mrs. Annie Heller of Alletnown, pa. Mr. Young w as a charter member of St. Paul's Reformed Church, organized here Mar ch 3, 1878. His illness dated from a couple of days before his death. a nd his condition was not known to be serious until shortly before the end.
