Thomas Riehl
Thomas Riehl, one of South Easton?s oldest residents, died at 11:30 yester day morning at the home of his son-in-law, John Hively, at Berwick and Che rry Streets, after an illness of four days from apoplexy. Deceased w as a native of Williams Township, being a son of the long deceased John Ri ehl, and was seventy-eight years of age. His is survived by a wife, one da ughter, Mrs. John Hively, of South Easton; one sister, Mrs. Susan Col e, of South Easton, and two brothers, James, of Danville, Pa., and Reub en , of Denver, Col.
Mr. Riehl was formerly a farmer, but for many years has lived retired at t he home o f his son-in-law. He was held the offices of supervisor and t ax collector of the borough of South Easton, and was a member of St. Paul ?s Lutheran church. The funeral will be held on next Monday afterno on at 2 o?clock with services at the house and interment in Hay?s Cemetery . |
