Oliver Brotzman
Oliver Brotzman, 67 years old, died on Saturday at his home at Warren Gle n. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ida Lippincott Brotzman; one son, Wa rren Brotzman, of Finesville and by seven step-children: Mrs. Montford kre idler and Mrs. Walter Peiffer, of Warren Glen: Mrs. Edmund Houch, of Easto n, South side; Walter and Florence Stoneback, of Easton; Bertha and Mari on Stoneback, of Warren Glen.

He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, at Riegelsville; Camp 23 3, Sons of Union Veterans of Civil War, Easton; and the Improved Ord er of Red Men, of Finesville.

Says Brotzman Has Two Wives
Woman Claims She Was Wed To Him Years Before He Wed Another
Oliver Brotzman, 53 years old, of Riegelsville, Pa., called at the court h ouse in Easton last week and obtained a license to marry Mrs. Ida Stonebac k, of Riegelsville, N.J. today a return of the marriage, dated April 26, w as mad by Rev. Samuel S. Kiehl of Kintnersville.

The day after announcement of the granting of the license was made in t he Express a woman called at the court house and asked to be shown the app lication for the license. She scrutinized the document carefully and th en announced that the signature of the man was that of Oliver Brotzman, h er husband. She claimed that she was married to Brotzman some years ago a nd there they were never divoirced. The woman also said that Brotzman w as maried to a third woman, who died twenty years ago.

Brotzman is well known in the Riegelsvilles. He is said to have appi ed to an assessor in New Jersey last week for a lecense to marry Mrs. ston eback, but as that official knew he had not been divoreced from his wi fe he refuesed to issue the document. Brotzman, it is said, then came to E aston, where he was not known and had no trouble obtaining the licens e. He declared his wife died in January, 1904, but made no mention of a s econd wife.

With the license in his possession, Brotzman is said to have called up on a Riegelsville minister and asked him to perform the ceremony that wou ld make Mrs. Stoneback his wife. The minsiter is reported to have been ac quainted with the fact that Brotzman had a wife living and he refused to t ie the knot. The Brotzman, so the story goes went on to Kintenersville a nd was married.

The woman who says she is the legal wife of Brotzman declared she woud cau se troube the moment she heard that Brotzman was wed to Mrs. Stoneback. S he also said she was employed in Easton.
