Allen | Born: Baptism: Place: Sponsors: Died: Burial: Notes: Democrat and Chronicle, Rochester, New York, Tuesday, March 2, 1965, Page 38 Roscoe Allen Ovid - Roscoe Conklin Allen, 78, of South Mai street, died Sunday, (Feb. 28, 1965) in Geneva General Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Waterloo, the son of Walter H. and Sarah Frances Illick Allen. HE worked as a salesman for Shinola Co. in rochester and was an auto dealer in seneca Falls for many years. During World War I, he fought with the 77th Division AEF in France and was a member of Arthur G. Depew VFW and World War I Vets, Finger Lakes barracks 45, Geneva. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Catherine Roan Allen; and a sister, Alice K. Allen, Seneca Falls. A memorila service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday inhis home where friends may call at their convenience. Rev. David S. Sheldon pastor of Ovid Federated Church, will officate.
