Dr. C. B. Bacon, coroner, issued a certificate of death by suicide. Since the death of his wife several several months ago, Mr. Poffenberger had been boarding with Mr. and Mrs. Hatch, the later his niece. Mr. PoffenberKer went to his own home late in the morning to mow his lawn and when he did not return return at noon, an search began. Coroner Bacon ordered the body removed to 46 West Main St. A native of Fayette, he had spent his entire life in Seneca County.
