BERKELEY, Oct. 20. Death today struck Charles Z. Yost, 62, a Pacific Gas and Electric Company Company executive, as he watched the it.U.SS. - U. S. C.. football game in Memorial Stadium,
Yost, of 1561 Euclid Avenue, was stricken with a fatal heart attack as he and his wife, Irene, attended, ! the game. His only daughter, Mary Jane, and her husband, M. J. Delevan, had come from Sacramento and were in the stadium.
He had been with the P..G. and E. for 37 years, since the day after he was graduated from the University of California. At his death, he was assistant manager of electrical operations.
His civic interests included serving as head committeeman of the Sea Scouts' SS Seahawk for 16 years and as head usher of Trinity Methodist Church. .He also was a member of the Commonwealth Club and; on the board, of directors of the Pacific Coast Electrical Association. He was an Army lieutenant in World War. I.
A native of Minto, North Dakota, he had lived here 27 years.
Besides nis widow and daughter, he leaves two granddaughters, granddaughters, Carolyn, 6, and Janette, 3.
Services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at the McNary-Berg Funeral Home, 1936 University Avenue, with Dr. F. Marion Smith of Trinity Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be !in Mountain View Cemetery. Cemetery.
