[.]

George Adam, usually referred to as Adam, at age 10, arrived with his pare nts in Philadelphia, 28 Oct 1738. Adam obtained manhood and moved sou th to the Limerick - Trappe area. He took the "Oath of Allegiance" to t he colony of Pennsylvania in Skippack, 10 April 1762. He had an account w ith the Salfordville Store, 1766 - 1774. In 1788 he gave 74 acres of h is land in Limerick Twp., to his son Adam. This was one year after his wi fe Anna Martha died. His son Adam only worked his father's gift for t en years before his early death in 1798. Sometine after 1800 this fami ly became Prutzman, probably because the English record keepers wrote do wn what they thought they heard from the German speaking Brotzmans. His b rothers in Easton were able to maintain the Brotzman spelling. Adam marri ed a second time to a Catherine Schneider, date unknown. No children we re recorded from this second union.

Adam Prutzman, Limerick, will written Jan. 26, 1804, filed Jun 19, 181 5. Wife Catharine.
Sons: David, Adam, Jacob, Frederick, Daus: Hannah, Mary, Son in law Jo hn Kepler.(This is unique as records to date have son Adam died in 1798.)
