A. H. Werkheiser, Was Councilman In Stockertown
Aaron H. Werkheiser, 60, a Stockertown borough councilman for 13 years, di ed Saturday afternoon in Easton Hospital, where he had been a patient sin ce Nov. 9. He lived at 311 E. Center St., Stockertown.

Mr. Werkheiser was a native of Forks Township and a lifelong resident of t he Stockertown area. He was born Feb. 4, 1898, a son of the late Lewis a nd Emma Sandt Werkheiser.

Mrs. Werkheiser was an auto mechanic and parts manager all his working yea rs. He last worked for T. F. Leh Inc., Nazareth, Before that he had been e mployed by the Nazareth Motor Co. and Frank & Leh, Nazareth. He worked abo ut 23 years with the latter company.

In addition to being a councilman, Mr. Werkheiser was active on the boa rd of governors of the Liberty Hose Co., Stockertown. He also was a memb er of the Stockertown Rod and Gun Club and the Le-Hampton Lodge 35, Frater nal Order of Police.

He was a life member of Forks Salem Lutheran Church.

Surviving are his widow, the former Helen Koch; a daughter, Elizabeth, wi fe of Rollin J. Fluck and two grandchildren, all at home.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the F. W. Schmidt Mortuar y, Nazareth.

The funeral of Aaron H. Werkheiser, 60, a Stockertown borough councilman f or 13 years, was held this afternoon at the F. W. Schmidt Mortuary, Nazare th. Mr. Werkheiser died Saturday afternoon in Easton Hospital. He resid ed in 311 E. Center St., Stockertown.

The Rev. Orion A. Eichner, pastor of Forks Salem Lutheran Church, officiat ed. Interment was in Forks Church Cemetery. The pallbearers, all membe rs of Stockertown borough council were Robert Siebler, Carl Scheffler, Pa ul Stevenson, Asher Meixsell, Larry Sapone, and Thomas Papa
