Fall From Tree Fatal
Charles H. Haupt, 62, years old, a retired clerk, was instantly killed tod ay when he fell from tree in the yard of his home, 512 Cattell Stree t. He died of a broken neck.

Mr. Haupt was on a ladder and was removing the large branches of a maple t ree preparatory to chopping down the tree when one of the limbs suck him a nd knocked him off the ladder.

The noise of the fall attracted the attention of men at the Joseph Lieberm an garage on Monroe Street near Cattell. They ran to the Haupt yard and ca rried his body into the house. Dr. J. A. Stotz was called but Mr. Haupt w as beyond medical aid.

Dr. Theodore Reichbaum, deputy coroner, was called and he issued a certifi cate of accidental death.

Mr. Haupt was a native of Bath. He had resided in Easton for 25 years, emp loyed first as a clerk at Laubach?s later at Rader?s and then by the Chipm an Hosiery Mills.

He leaves his wife, three sisters, Mrs. Walter Scheirer, of Nazareth; Mr s. Lewis Sanford, Butte, Montana; Mrs. Edwin McFarren, of Lothair, Montan a, and a brother, Harvey Haupt, of Bath.

He was a member of Forks Lutheran Church.
