Veteran Band-Man Dies of Apoplectic Stroke
Samuel A. Clause Was in his Sixty-Ninth Year
Samuel A. Clause, 1406 Russell Street, died shortly after 7 o?clock last n ight at his home, in his 69th years. On Saturday night he suffered an apo plectic stroke from the effects of which he died yesterday.

Mr. Clause was born in Freemansburg, a son of James and Katie, nee Emor y, Clause. He was a member of the Allentown band for twenty years and play ed the first bass horn to be introduced into this section. He came to All entown from Freemansburg fifty years ago.

There survive his widow, Marie, nee Fatzinger, and two sons, Clarence, All entown, and Charles, Newark. One brother Ervin, Freemansburg, also survive s.

The funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o?clock at the fun eral parlors of George Heckrotte, 824 Walnut Street. Rev. H. C. Lilly, pa stor of Ebenezer church, will officiate.
