Easton Native Reproted Killed Last February
Pfc. Arthur R. KLnoble, husband of Mrs. Edna Knoble, 932, East Calire Stre et, Allentown, previously reported missing in action sicne February 23, 19 45, has been reported killed in action on that date in Europe.
Pfc. Knoble was born in Easton and raised in Bethlehem. He was inducted i ntothe service July 19, 1944, and took his training at Camp Blanding, Fl a. After a furlough at home, he was sent overseas Dec. 20, 1944.
He saw action in France, Belgium, Halland and Germany with the the 38th In fantry Regiment.
Pfc. Knoble was the son of the late Floyd and Mary Pierce Knoble. S he is slaod surived by his widow and three year old daughter Judith Ann; s tep-mother, Mrs. Minnie Knoble, easton R.D. 3; a brother Floyd, of Easto n; a sister, mrs. Gretchen Dech, of Allentown; and a step-sister, Mrs. Pea rl hector of Staten Island, N.Y.
