ADAM S. FRANKENFIELD, a well known resident of Doylestown and Civil War ve teran, died on Thursday night, February 28th. Aged 80 years. Mr. Frankenfi eld was born March 23rd, 1837 at Bridge Valley, where he spent his young er days. He married Ephemia Bryan in 1876 and since that time has been a r esident of Doylestown. Carpentering was his trade. Mr. Frankenfield w as a member of the 128th Penna. Regiment, having enlisted on August 15t h, 1862, and on September 17th, 1862 was in the battle of Antietam. He bec ame a Corporal on October 1st, 1862 and was mustered out on May 16th, 186 3. He joined the 152nd Regiment on February 13th, 1864, and became a Corpo ral in that regiment April 27th, 1864. He became a Sergeant on March 3r d, 1865, and was mustered out the following November. Mr. Frankenfield w as a charter member of Sciota Tribe, I.O.R.M. of Doylestown. He serv ed as Constable for many years in Doylestown, having filled that office be fore the Borough was divided into wards, and afterwards served in First Wa rd until the end of the last term. In politics he was a Republican. The su rvivors are a brother, Aaron Frankenfield, and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Fi sher, both of Bridge Valley.
