83 Descendants of Grandmother Wessaw
Great Great Grandchildren Among Bristol Woman's Progeny

Eight three living descendants, including four great-great grandchildren survive Mrs. Mary Wessaw Dyer, who died yesterday at her daughter's home, 149 Otter street.

"Grandma Wessaw" as she was affectionately known to her vast number of descendants and relatives and friends, will be Thursday afternoon, services being conducted at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Mohre, at the Otter Street adress, and interment being inthe Bristol Cemtery. The Rev. J.J. Bingham, of the Methodist Church, will officiate.

She was in her 87th year, haivng been born on 20 May 1836, in Doylestown Township, Bucks County.She was fairly active until within thee weeks of her death. It was her habit until her last illness, to knit old fashioned rugs, which she gave to various one of her numerous descendants.

Nearly all of the eighty three living descendants who include 8 children, twenty-four grandchildren, forty seven great grand-children and four great great grandchildren, will attend her funeral. Almost all of her descendants live in Bucks County and in Trenton.

Her living children are Mrs. David Burd, of Trenton, Mrs.Elizabeth Smith, of Yardville, Mrs. Josphine Gleason, of Bristol, Jacob Wessaw, of South Langhorne, Henry Wessaw, of Tullytown, Edward Wessaw, of Pleasantville, N.J., William Wessaw, of Bristol and Mrs. Mohre, of Bristol.

Grandma Wessaw was born a Morris. She married John Wessaw, a carpet weaver, before coming to Bristol. She came here about 45years ago, Mrs.Wessaw dying sshortly after they took up resdience here. Some years ago she became the wife of Robert Cyer, who also left her a widow.

Grandmother Wessaw was known to hundreds of toehr presons besides her numberous relatives and was related to a great many Bucks County families, her family having lived here and in Doylestown all their lives.
