He served one term from 1945-50 as sheriff of Bucks County and later w as a tax collector for the borough of Quakertown. He had been an automobi le salesman. Born in Haycock Township, Bucks County, he was a son of the late Josiah a nd Rebecca (Bleam) Ahlum. He was married to the former Helen K. Landis. He was a member of the Flatland Mennonite Church near Quakertown. Surviving with his widow are a son, Harvey R. of Quakertown; a daughter, C aroline, wife of Herman Yeakel of Quakertown; a brother, David of Hayco ck Township; a sister, Cora, wife of Harvey Horne of Richlandtown; three g randchildren and a great-grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Flatland church. Viewing wi ll be noon to the time of the services in the church. | ||
