Harry H. Bean
Harry H. Bean, o9f 228 E. Broad St., Quakertown, former school director, g rocer and mailman in the borough, died Friday afternoon in theQuakertown C ommunity Hospital. He ws 71 years old.
Mr. Bean served two terms as school board director and for several years w as inspector for the election board.
He began his business career many years ago as proprietor of the Quakerto wn Steam laundry and later operated a grocery store at 3rd and Broad Sts.
For 17 years, until his retirement a year ago, he served as a mail carri er in the Quakertown R. 1 district.
Mr. Bean was a member of First Evangelical and Reformed church, Quakertow n. Fraternally he was affiliated with the Masonic order, Odd Fellows a nd the Order of United American mechanics.
Surviving are his wife, Ella A., nee Seiple; and a brother, Frank H. Be an of the Bronx, N.Y.
Rev. Paul T. Stout will officiate at services Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Tre ffinger Funeral Home, N. Ambler St., Quakertown, with interment in Quakert own Union cemetery, Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funer al home. |
