Alleged Malpractice
Serious Charge Against a Quakertown Physician
Quakertown, December 8, This vicinity has been thrown into a fever of exci tement through developments which implicate a well-known pysician in a ca se of criminal malpractice.

On. November 5 Mrs. George Reinert died at her home at Richlandtown brou gh under ususpicious circumstances, and two days later her body ws bur ed in union Cemetery near this place. The funeral services were held the d ay after the burieal. Ever since that time the air has been full of rumor es concerning the mysterious affair.

A day or two ago the case was reported to Diestrict Attorney Applebac h, of Bucks county, who his morning appearedont he scene to institute an i nvestigation. he order the body of mr.s Reinert exhumed and deputzed the C oroner and Dr. Joseph Thomaas, Dr. O.H. Fetz and JDr. J. R. Umstead to ma ke a post-mortem examination. The body of the woman was taken from the gr ave to thehall attached to Kline's Hotel, where it was found to be in a go od state of preservation.

Incriminating Evidence
The Coroner then held an inquest, at which George Reinert, hsubandof the d eceased woan, was called to the stand and gave testimony that was starti ng in its character, as it directl implicated Dr. MiltonWeaver, of the fir m. of M.H. and C. H. Weaver, who have been in constant practice here for s veralyears. After secribing the visits of the doctor to his house and t he details of the operation performed on his wife, Mr. Rienert said the do ctor told him not to say anything about it, for the act which he had comit ed was penitentiary business. Mrs. Reiner, who was bout 25 years of ag e, confessed to her husband before she died, it is alleged, that the opera torion had been performed by the doctor, who had strictly charges secrecy.

Mrs. Matilda Stoneback, mother of the deceased, testified to about the sa me effect as Mr. Reinert. She was followed by her hsuband, who told of t he positve statements made by the unfortunate woman before her death. Gra ndmother Frankenfield said the doctor charged her of keep quiet about t he matter, as it was a penitentiary offense.

The jury, after a short deliberation, rendered a verdict that the deceas ed came to her from pelvic peritoninits, prodcued by drugs andother substa nces and the use of instruments at thehomes of the family physician, Dr. M .H. Weaver. District Attorney Applebach will issue a warrent for the arre st of teh dotor, who will probably waive a hearing.
