(Fisher) Frankenfield, one of Allentown's leading milliners for n early 50 years, died Monday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jo seph Lehner, 2005 Tilghman St. She was 82 years old on April 20. Mrs. Fr ankenfield, who retired from business in 1927, for many years had her sh op next to the Black Bear hotel on that part of Hamilton St. now occupi ed by Hess Brothers store. later she was located in the Heinz building wh ere Breit's store now is located. In 1885 she was married to Phaon J. Fra nkenfield, who preceded her in death in 1937. After her marriage she open ed a millinery shop on the first floor of her home at 31 N. 8th St. and la ter moved to 40 N. 10th St., where she was located when she retired. In h er 50 years of business she trained many milliners, some of whom are sti ll in business throughout the state. Mrs. Frankenfield was active in ma ny societies. She was affiliated with the Women's Missionary society a nd Altar Guild of Zion Reformed church, of which she was a member; the Pho ebe Deaconess auxiliary and the auxiliaries of the Good Shepherd home a nd Bethany Orphans home. Born in Lebanon county, she was a daughter of Jo hn and Rebecca Fisher. Surviving are the daughter with whom she reside d, two grandchildren, Joseph P. and Linda Lee Zahner, and a sister, Mrs. E mma Hottel of Nice, Calif. Rev. Simon Sipple, pastor of Zion Reformed chu rch, will officiate at services Thursday at 3 p.m. at the J. S. Burkhold er funeral home, 1601 Hamilton St., with interment in Union cemetery.
