Mrs. John Patton Dies Following Four Year Illness
Death of Local Resident Was Third in Family in 15th Months

Mrs. Ida Patten, 19 Lower Mulberry Street, widow of John Patton, died yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Geisinger Memorial Hosital hwere she had been a patient since Monday. She was aged 64.
Mrs. Patton's death, followed four years of ill health and was the third in the family in the past 15 months. Her hsuband, John Patton, died Aug 15, 1938 and a daughter Mrs. Mae Paul, Blomsburg, died in January of this year.
Born in Northmumbland, Mrs. Patten, had resided in Danville for the past 43 years. She was a member of the Pine Street Luterhan Church, a Past Matron of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Daughters of teh American Revolution.
Surviving are two sons, County Commissioner Clyde A. Patton, Danvilele; Alfred Patton, Dolyelstown; one daughter, Mrs. Preston Kelschner, of Bloomsburg; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Livingston, York, Mrs. Marian Frank, Albany, N.Y.; Mrs. Lillian Barner, Danville, Mrs. Harry Buckman, Lompoc, Cal.; one brother, J. E. Haas, Washington D.C. and a half brother William Bird. Summit, N.J.
Funeral serfices will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Thad S. Vincent Fuenral Home, Bllom St., with the rev. Walter E. Brown, foficating. Burial will be made in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral homne Satruday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock. |
