Charles I. Slipher, Shoe Man, dies
Charles I. Slipher, 63 years old, president of the Indiana Shoe Travelers' Assocition and known widley in the shoe industry died yesterday at hi sRavenswood home. He had been ill several months.
Mr. Slipher was president of the association since 1933 and previously had been secretary of the organization 15 years. He was affiliated with the old New York store 20 years and had been buyer and manger of its shoe department several years.
The widow, Mrs. Margaret Slipher, is the only survivor.
Funeral services will be ehld at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the McNeely Mortuary. Burial will be Crown Hill cemetery, |
