B. A. Diehl, Retired Stationary Engineer
Byron Amey Diehl, 78, a retired Stationary engineer, died last night at 9; 30 o?clock at this home 114 Lincoln Street, after an illness of several ye ars.

Mr. Diehl was employed as a stationary engineer I the maintenance departme nt of Morey-Larue Laundry company for 35 years. he retired from that j ob 13 years ago.

In his earlier years he was a stationary engineer fo the Ingersoll-Rand Co mpany and a locomotive engineer for the Old Lucey Furnace Company. He al so worked at one time for the old Glendon Iron Works.

Born in Springfield township, Bucks County, on July 2, 1874, he was a s on of the late William B and Frances Amey Diehl. he lived in the Easton a rea for the last 60years.

Mr. Diehl was a member of St. Paul?s Lutheran Church, South side. Lst Sep t. 20, he and his wife the former Annie white, observed their 52nd weddi ng anniversary.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Mrs. C. R. Weingartne r, of Bethlehem, a son William A. Diehl at home, and a sister, Miss Minn ie Diehl, of Nazareth.

Rites for Mr. Diehl
Funeral services for Byron Amey Diehl, 78, retired stationary engineer w ho died Monday at hishome, 114 Lincoln Street, where held this afterno on at the Strunk funeral Home.

The Rev. Paul J. Kidd, pastor of St. Paul?s Lutheran church, officiated. I nterment will be in Hay?s cemetery. Pallbearers were Arthur Miller, Edw in Wrenn, William Bertolet, Allen Milheim, David C. Powell and George Hoag land.
