Edwin D. Amey
Retired Grocer of Emmaus was 70 years old
Edwain D. Amey, for many years the proprietor of a grocery store in Emma us until he retired several years ago, died at 2 o?clock yesterday afterno on at his home, the residence of his one and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mr s. Freddie J. Amey, 572 Jubilee St., Emmaus. He was aged 708 years, 11 mon ths and 17 days.
Mr. Amey was born in Trexlertown, a son of the late David and Caroline, n ee Hummel, Amey and had been a resident of Emmaus for 40 years. His wife d ied six years ago. Surviving Mr. Amey are ten children; Mrs. Joseph Boye r, Mrs. Howard Shimer, Mrs. Ray Feather and Carrie Amey, all of Emmaus; Mr s. Fred Kline, Lancaster; Mrs. Earl Freed, Red Hill; Robert Amey, Californ ia; Freddie, Albert and Howard Amey, all of Emmaus, Sixteen grandchildr en and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Geary, Haddon Heights, N.J. also survive. He w as a member of St. John?s Reformed Church, Emmaus.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday from his late home, the residen ce of this son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Amey with the Re v. Royce Schaeffer and D. E. Schaeffer, officiating. Interment wi ll be in Northwood cemetery. |
