Holland Kichline Killed in New York
Body of Former Eastonian Found on Wire Up in Air where he had been Electro cuted
The body of Holland Kichline, 34 years old, of No. 233 East One Hundred and Twenty-Second Street, New York, who was a former resident of Easton, w s found on Tuesday last stretched across the lines of electric light wire, forty feet from the ground, at BanBrunt and Reid streets, Brooklyn. He had been electrocuted and sparks almost completely enveloped the body.

The electric lights for several blocks around the corner went out and residents in the district telephoned complaints to the Edison Electrical Light and Power comany. Two linemen sent out to find the trouble and search for some time before the parks attacted them to the place where Kichline had met his death.

He was an inspector who had been sent out several hour earlier to make some repairs. Apparently he hab been killed by a shock and fallen on the wires, causing a short circuit that put out the light in the neighborhood. He wore buckskin gloves instead of the usual rubber ones and is suppose to have taken hold of wife from which the insulation was stripped.

The body was frozen stiff. Kichline is survived by a widow and several children. He left Easton about eight years ago. A brother, Silas Kichline, formerly of this city, is also a resident of New York.
