Edwin Babp, 89, Tatamy Resident
Edwin Babp, 89, of Bushkill street, Tatamy, one of the oldest residen ts of that community, died yesterday at his home after an illness of one m onth.
Mr. Babp worked as a molder at Messinger Manufacturing Company, Tatamy, pr ior to his retirement in 1938.
Born in Forks Township, he was the son of the late Jeremiah and Mary Kemme rer Babp. His first wife, Sarah Frankenfield Babp, sided in 1898, and h is second wife, the former Augusta Johnson, died in 1948, A daughter, Mr s. William Mengel, died last January.
Surviving are a son, Edgar S. and a daughter, Mrs. Edward D. Frace, bo th of Tatamy; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four great-great c hildren; and two brothers, Alvin, of Easton, R. D.1, and David, of Washing ton, D.C.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Schmidt mortuar y, Nazareth. The Rev. Floyd R. Shafer, D.D., of Tatamy will officiate. In terment will be in Forks Cemetery. |
