Walter Dornblaser Sr., Former Wilson Merchant
Walter F. Dornblaser Sr., of 5141 William Penn Highway, Bethlehem Townshi p, died today in Easton Hospital. He had been in failing health for the l ast two years.
He was the owner of the Dixie Tavern, Wilson, being semi-retied for the la st two years. He formerly owned and operated the Mobil Gas Station, 17 th and Butler Sts., Wilson, for several years.
He was previously a truck driver with the Pennsylvania Highway departme nt and drove an ice cream truck for Paula's Dairy. He was a former employ ee of Bethlehem Steel Corp. and Structural Steel Co., Bethlehem.
Born in Bethlehem Township, he was a son of the late Howard and Betha Fran kenfield Dornblaser.
He attended Bethlehem schools and was a member of the Good Shepherd Luther an Chruch, Wilson.
Surviving are his widow, the former Iren Pauls; two daughters, Mrs. Micha el Lucykanish, Wilson and Mrs. Richard West, South Easton; a son Walter J r. of Bethlehem Township; a sister, Miss Arlene Dornblaser, Wilson; 10 gra ndchildren and four great-grandsons.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Katinis Funeral Chape l, Wilson. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. |
