Morning Call, The (Allentown, PA) - Tuesday, September 15, 2015

Raymond S. Bennett, 89, of Bethlehem, died Saturday, September 12, 2015, in St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Jean (Houser) Bennett. They celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in April. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Harry S. and Verna (Frankenfield) Bennett. After faithfully serving his country in the U. S. Navy during World War II, Raymond was a self-employed electrical contractor for 43 years before retiring. He was a member of East Hills Moravian Church, Bethlehem, where he served as a Trustee and Sacristan. He also belonged to the M.O.R.A. club. A wonderful husband, father and grandfather, he will be dearly missed by his family. Survivors: Wife, Jean; sons, David of Woodbine, NJ and Karl, and his wife Valerie of Kenosha, WI; daughter, Tracey Stanton, and her husband Todd of Harrisburg; brother, Harry, and his wife Helen of Bethlehem; and seven grandchildren. Services: A calling hour will be held from 10 - 11 a.m. Friday, September 18, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m.in East Hills Moravian Church. Burial will be private.
