J Llewellyn Laubach, 92, Was Retired Farmer
J. Llewellyn Laubach, 92, a retired farmer died last night at his home, N azareth R.D. 1.
Mr. Laubach, who retired 10 years ago was and assessor in Lower Nazareth T ownship for 20 years. He served on the church council at Dryland Reform ed church, was a former superintendent of the Sunday school that churc h. He was one of the founders of Hope cemetery at Hecktown.
He was a director of the cemetery association from 1908 to 1915, when he w as elected president. He also was a member of the Hecktown Lodge, IOOF.
He was born in lower Nazareth Township on September 16, 1859, son of the l ate John and Matilda Johnson Laubach.
He was married twice. His first wife was the late Ida Walter Laubach a nd the second wife, the late Mary Garnett Laubach.
He is survived by two sons, Elwood, of Newburg, and Ezra of Bath; six gran dchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM and Dryland Reformed chu rch. Interment will be in Hope cemetery. |
