Josephine C. Tuttle, 97, of Harleysville, died Friday, July 24, 2009 at Gr and View Hospital, where she was a patient. She was the widow of Norm an J. Tuttle, who died in 1980.

Born in Green Pond Farms, Northampton County, she was the daughter of t he late Steward L. and Bertha E. (Rader) Laubach.

After high school graduation in Bethlehem, she furthered her educati on at Kutztown State Teacher?s College. She was an elementary teach er in Bethlehem, then later substituting in the Norristown School Distric t. Eventually, she became a full-time teacher at Cole Manor Elementary Sch ool, retiring in 1972.

She moved to Peter Becker Community, Harleysville, in 1980.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Norristown, where she taug ht Sunday School, Bible School and was a choir member.

She is survived by four children: Robert F. Tuttle, and his wife, Nan cy of Telford; Donald L. Tuttle, and his wife Carole of Lewisberry, Pa.; J oanne E. Graham, and her husband Dr. Alan of Williamsville, N.Y.; and Norm an J. ?Bud? Tuttle Jr., and his wife Mary Ellen of Halifax, Pa.; nine gran dchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a brother, Dr. Gerald Lauba ch of Jackson Hole, Wyo. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in d eath by a sister, Lucille Kemmerer.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 1 at 3 p.m. at Williams-Ber gey-Koffel Funeral Home, 687 Harleysville Pike, Franconia, where the fami ly will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Interment will take place at t he family?s convenience.
