Sunday, June 11, 2000, at the Holy Family Hall infirmary. Services wi ll be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mount St. Francis Chapel, with burial in Mou nt Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7:30 p.m. today at Mount S t. Francis, where there will be a wake service in the chapel at 7:30 p. m. The Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., is in charge of arr angements. Sister Bonaventure taught school in Ashton; Sacred Heart in Du buque; Bancroft; Templeton; Sibley; and Holy Ghost in Dubuque, Iowa; Melro se Park, Ill.; and Portland, Ore. She was born on Sept. 14, 1915, in Wint hrop, Iowa, daughter of Thomas and Iola (Curtis) Sloyer. She entered t he Sisters of St. Francis on June 21, 1934, and made her final professi on of religious vows on Aug. 10, 1940. Surviving are three sisters, Trilby Ritter, Doris Blankenship and Maude Sc hiesser; and her Franciscan Sisters, with whom she shared 65 years of h er life. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Stear le and Raymond; and three sisters, Neva Hurm, Virginia Ellis and Clara Slo yer. Memorials may be given to the Sisters of St. Francis at Mount St. Fr ancis.
