Sylvester Knect died at 10:30 last night at the residence of his brothe r, Ephraim Knecht on McCartney street near Monroe street, College Hill. De ath was occasioned by Bright?s disease, with which he had been suffering s ince lst October. The deceased was in the 70th year of his age. He ca me to Easton about eight weeks ago from Nazareth, where he had resided f or a quarter of a century.
Mr. Knecht, who was a farmer by occupation was born near Nazareth and w as a son of the late Mr. And Mrs. Abraham Knecht. His brother, at whose ho me he died, is the only near relative surviving. The deceased was a memb er of ST. John?s Lutheran Church at Nazareth. He was never married.
