Meade, 73 Spring and Iron Streets, West Easton, died yesterd ay afternoon in Easton Hospital where he was a patient two weeks. Mr. Meade was director of purchases for Thomas Edison Inc., West Orange, N .J. He retired in 1958 after more than 45 years with the company. Born in Sayre Pa., Aug. 1, 1894, a son of the late Robert and Jennie Mutch ler Meade, he lived in West Easton since his retirement. He was of the Lutheran faith and a member of Delaware Lodge 52, F&AM, Phil lipsburg; Lehigh Consistory, Allentown, and the Sons of the American Revol ution. He was a graduate of Lerch's Preparatory School, Easton. Survivors include his widow, the former Ophelia Klotz; a son, Bertine R. A lexandria, Va.; a daughter, Mrs. Lillian D. Rice, West Easton; a sister, M rs. Lillian S.M. Decker, Easton, and four granddaughters. The funeral wil be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Heck Memorial Home, Eas ton. | ||
