Beatrice E. Buss Weaver "Bea"

Beatrice E. "Bea" Buss Weaver, 88, formerly of Wilson Borough, passed aw ay Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at ManorCare-Palmer. Born: On October 16, 1920, s he was a daughter of the late Wesley E. and Beatrice Werkheiser Buss. Pers onal: Her husband, Chester Boyd Weaver, Jr., died in 1967. Bea graduated f rom Wilson High School Class of 1938. She was last employed by Big Brothe rs and Big Sisters and the American Red Cross. Previously she was employ ed by Ecolaire Condenser, Inc., Ingersoll Rand Co., Coley Detective Agen cy and Mrs. Smith's Pretzel Factory. She had served on the Wilson Borou gh Board of Elections. Memberships: Bea was a life long member of Christ L utheran Church, Easton, where she was a former Sunday school teacher, cho ir member and active in Lutheran Church Women. She was also a member of t he American Business Women's Association, Starburst Chapter, which named h er Woman of the Year. Survivors: A son, David Weaver and his wife Li n, of Palmer Township; two daughters, Judith Stetler and her husband Henr y, Sr. of Palmer Township and Linda Johnson and her husband Eugene, Sr., w ith whom she last resided in Wilson Borough; two brothers, Arthur Bu ss of Easton, and Richard Buss of Phillipsburg; five sisters, Lucille Heim bach, Dorothea Clayton, Marlene Yetter and Gloria Simons, all of Easton a nd Jacqueline Frack of Allentown; nine grandchildren, Henry Stetler Jr., G reg Stetler Sr., Rochelle Assise, Todd Diehl, Rebecca Steigerwalt, Penny P redmore, Jesse, Abby and Rachel Weaver; and six great-grandchildren. She w as predeceased by a granddaughter, Angela Diehl, two brothers, William a nd Darrell Buss, and two sisters, Arlene Young and Lorraine Coyle. Service s: Will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc, 21 01 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Call Friday, from 9:30 to 10:30 a. m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Easton Cemetery. Memorials: In l ieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church, 1100 Ferry St., Easto n, PA 18042 or American Diabetes Association , 65 E. Elizabeth Ave., Sui te 502, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
