Mervin J. Christine
Mervin J. Christine, 70, of 1206 Lehigh Parkway S. Allentown, died Thursday in the Allentown and sacred Heart Hospital Center. He was the husband of Arlene H. (Buskirk) Christine. They observed their 51st wedding anniversary in July.
He was a maintenance man for the former Lehigh Valley railroad for 25 years before retiring in 1974. Before that he was employed at the former Freihofer Baking Co., Allentown for 21 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Clinton and Rebecca (Gruver) Christine.
Surviving are h8is widow are a son ***** of Schnecksville; two daughters, ****, wife of ***** of Pittstown, N.J. and *****, wife of *****, of Allentown; two brothers, Morris of Schnecksville and Orrin of Whitehall Township; a sister, Mrs. Perma Nagle of Allentown, and a grandson.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown. Calling hours will be 7 – 8:30 p.m. Sunday. |
