Burto Maginnis
Burton Maginnis,76, or 104 Sleepy Hallow Lane, Bangor, died Saturday in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, after a short illness.
Mr. Maginnis was employed as a draftsman by Ingersoll Rand Co., Phillipsburg, retiring 11 years ago.
Born in Belvidere, N.J., he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Maginnis.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Bangor; Bangor Lodge, F&AM; Lehigh Consistory, Allentown; Irem Temple Order Mystic Shrine and Country Club, Wilkes-Barre; Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Easton; Lehigh Valley Club, Allentown; Senior Citizens, Bangor, and the Pen Argyl and Forks of the Delaware Chapter, Easton Association of Retired Persons.
Mr. Maginnis and his wife, the former Roxie Steinmetz celbrated their golden wedding anniversary two years ago.
Survivors include a son, Hayden R. Maginnis, a retired Navy commander, Arlington, Va.; a daughter, a sister, Mrs. Reba Pysher, Bangor; a brother, Albert, Washington, N.J. and four grandchldren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Hough Home for Funerals, Bangor. Interment will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Masonics services will be held at 8 p.m. today. |
