Herbert Maginnis, 73, President of Firm in Washington
Herbert Maginnis, 73, of 172 E. Washington Ave., Washington, died unexpectedly yesterday in Warren Hospital where he was admitted Thursday.
He was president of the Washington Pattern Co. and had served two terms on Washington Boroough Council.
Born in Belvidere, a son of the late Isaac N. and Julia Creager Maginnis, he had lived in Washington since 1924.
Mr. Maginnis was a member of Bangor Lodge 565, F&AM, Easton Forest 35, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and the Patternmakers League of North American, Easton.
Surviving are his widow, the former Anna Mae Shook; two daughters, Mrs. Thelma Burd and Mrs. Alethea Baker, both Belvidere; three sons, Lawrence and Theodore, Washington, and Herbert Jr., Reading; two brothers, Burton M., Bangor and Albert M., Washington; a sister, Mrs. Reba Pysher, Bangor; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the DeVoe Funeral Home, Washington. Interment will be in Belvidere Cemetery. |
