Lester J. Raub, Manager of Service Station
Lester J. Raub, manager of the Mobil Service station at Third and Ferry
streets, was dead on arrival at Easton Hospital last night after he
was stricken by a heart attack at the station. He lived at Warren Glen
Road, Alpha R.D.
Mr. Raub, who was born Sept. 7, 1912, in Easton, operated a flower
and vegetable stand at the Circle market for many years. His parents,
Irenaeus H and Daisy Hineline Raub, operate a florist business in Williams
Township.
He was of the Methodist faith and a trustee of Easton Elks Lodge 121.
Survivors include his widow, the former Frieda Bigley; a daughter,
and two sisters, Helen, wife of Irvin Fortner,
Easton, and Evelyn, wife of Arthur Weeks, Milford R. D.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Strunk Funeral
Home, Easton. The Elks lodge will hold services tomorrow night at the
funeral home.
