Margaret R. Tooma
Margaret R. Tooma, 82, of Forks Township, died Tuesday, July
30, 2002, in ManorCare in Palmer Township.
Born: June 20, 1920, in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late
Frank and Beatrice Brady Steckel.
Personal: She was a self-employed dressmaker in the Easton-Phillipsburg
area. Prior to that she worked at Dixie Cup in Wilson Borough,
Magnetic Windings in Palmer Township and Bloomingdales in New
York city.
She was a 1939 graduate of Easton High School.
Memberships: She was a member of AARP.
She was a member of St. Andrews Senior Citizens Club in Easton
and the First United Church of Christ Milford.
Survivors: her husband, George H.; three daughters, ; two
sons, five
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A sister, Eva Lipari died earlier, and a daughter Patricia
Penyak, died in 1991.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday in the Finegan Funeral home, 302
Heckman St., Phillipburg, Call from 9 a.m to time of services
Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
