George T. Unangst

George T. Unangst, 89, of Fullerton died Thursday, Jan. 16, in Sacred Heart Hospital. He was the husband of Anna M. (Shotzberger) Unangst. They were married 58 years in April.
He was a turn foreman in the alloy and tool steel division of Bethlehem Seel Corp. before retiring in 1970 after 38 years' service.
Born in Bethlehem Township, he was a son of the late Dayton E. Sr. and Laura (Diebert) Unangst.
He was a member and treasurer of the Men's Sunday school class of Asbury United Methodist Church, South Whitehall Township. He was a former treasurer of its usher association.
He was an advancement chairman of District 5, Boy Scouts of America, Minis Trails Council, for 45 years, and a former scoutmaster. He was recipient of the Key and Silver Beaver awards.
Unangst was a former secretary-treasurer of Civilian Conservation Corps, Chapter 6, and an alumni of the National Association of the CCC.
Active in the Ecumenical Food Bank, Allentown, he was a member and former secretary of the Pennsylvania Dutch Folk and Cultural Society, Lenhartsville.
He served in the National Guard.
Survivors: Wife; sons, *****. of Walnutport and *****. of Catasauqua; brother, Dayton E. Jr. of Palmer Township; sister, Isella Paulus of Pennsville; five grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
Services: 7:30 p.m. Monday, John H. Brubaker Funeral Home, 3rd and Walnut Streets, Catasauqua. Call 6:30-7:30 p.m. Monday.
