Robert L. Hartzell
Robert L. Hartzell, 73 years old of 630 Fourth Street, Bethlehem died on Thursday at his home of apoplexy, having suffered several strokes.

For 38 years he was general inspector of automatic signals for the Lehigh Valley Railroad and retired nine years ago. He was born in Bethlehem March 29, 1869, a son of Edwin F. and Mary Hoffman Hartzell. He was a member of Christ Evangelical Reformed Church, Bethlehem and an honorary affiliate of the Brotherhood of Railway signalmen’s Association.

His wife Mrs. Aegenetta Walter Hartzell, died several years ago. Surviving are three sons; Edwin B. Hartzell, York; Howard B. Hartzell, Bethlehem. William W. Hartzell, Melrose, Mass; two daughters, Mrs. Florence E. Hitchner, Marlton, N.J; and Rhoda K. Hartzell, at home; a brother, Ward D. J. Hartzell, Bethlehem and seven grandchildren.

Funeral Saturday at 3 p.m. in Steyers Funeral Home, 70 East Broad Street, Bethlehem. Interment in Nisky Hill Cemetery.
