Mrs. Edith N. Hackett Dies Suddenly
The many friends in this city of Mrs. Edith Noble, whose home was at march and Porter streets were deeply grieved and shocked this morning to learn that she had passed away very suddenly about 11 o’clock last night, sustaining a heart attack as she was walking along Burke street, with Mrs. J. Madison Porter, and Mrs. Aaron Goldsmith to take a trolley car for their respective homes. They had spent the evening with Mrs. William M. Michler of Reeder and Pierce streets and during their stay there Mrs. Hackett seemed in her usual health. Though of late her friends had been solicitous over her apparent weakened condition. When Mrs. Hackett was overcome by the attack she sank to the pavement. Several men carried her into the home of Arthur T. Bowlby, 228 Burke Street and Dr. Thomas C. Zulick, Sr. was summoned but she passed away as he arrived.

Mrs. Hackett was the daughter of the late Frederick Waldo and Anna Sebring Noble, of this city. Her father was a well known business man for many years. She was throughout her life prominent in social circles and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Her husband, William Hackett died August 27, 1917, She was the last of her father’s family and is survived only by her son, Wald H. Hackett banker and broker of Haverford with offices in Philadelphia
