Harry E. Grube, Conductor For Central, Was 71
Harry E. Grube, 71, formerly of Phillipsburg and Raubsville, died at 5: 25 a.m. yesterday at his home 7112 Seventh Ave., N., St. Petersburg, Fla.
Mr. Grube was a former freight conductor for the Central Railroad of New J ersey,. He was employed by the railroad 47 years, retiring in 1951.
Born in Raubsville, he was a son of the late Henry and Mary Grube. He resi ded in Phillipsburg 53 years. He lived in Raubsville for one year before m oving to Florida four years ago. He was a caretaker at the Pasadena Commun ity Church in St. Petersburg.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg, and the Brotherho od of Railroad Trainmen. He was a former member of Phillipsburg Aerie 137 2, Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ruth Grube; four sons, Harry, Donald and Ell sworth, all of Phillipsburg, and Ralph of Paterson, N.J.; three daughter s, Mrs. Eudora Perini, Mrs. Lottie Gordon and Mrs. Arlene Wismer, all of Phillipsburg; a brother, Alfred, Easton; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Ott, Raub sville; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2:40 at the Pasadena Community Church in St. P etersburg. Interment will be in St. Petersburg. |
