Ellsworth "Pete" Grube, 73, of 157 N. Riverview Road, Phillipsburg, died T hursday in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of Sophie (Rutkowski) Grube .

For five years, he worked for Globe Security at Ingersoll-Rand Co., Philli psburg. He previously was employed by the former Penn Central Railroad f or 35 years until retiring in 1977.

Born in Phillipsburg, he was a son of the late Harry and Cora Grube.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg.

Grube formerly was president of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen for t wo years.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving with his widow are a son Robert of Trenton, N.J.; a daughter, Mr s. Patricia Grainda of Phillipsburg; two brothers, Harry of Pohatcong Town ship, and Ralph of Paterson, both in New Jersey; two sisters, Dora Hu ff of Phillipsburg and Arlene Wismer of Harmony, N.J.; and four grandchild ren. He was predeceased by a daughter Deanna.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the church. Calling hours will be 7 -9 p.m. Sunday in the Doyle Funeral Home, 535 S. Main St., Phillipsburg.
