J. V. Breidinger, 42, Magistrate in Stockertown.
Joseph V. Breidinger, 43, justice of the peace in Stockertown, died at 1: 15 p.m. yesterday in Easton Hospital. He was hospitalized Oct. 10. He w as in ill health three years.
Mr. Breidinger resided at 311 Main St. Stockertown.
Born in Belfast, he was a son of Mrs. Gertrude C. Metz, now of Stockertow n, and the late Francis E. Breidinger, Sr.
Mr. Breidinger was justice of the peace in Stockertown for the last thr ee years.
He served in the coast artillery of the Army during World War II.
He was a former attendant at the service station owned by the late Corneli us and Ada Marsh Brass on Main Street, in Stockertown. He was last employ ed by his brother, Francis E. Breidinger, Easton Contractor.
Mr. Breidinger was a member of Northampton County Magistrates and Constab le Association, the Pennsylvania Magistrates Association, Harold V. Knec ht Post 415, American Legion, Nazareth, and the Nazareth Jacksonian Clu b. He was a fisherman and hunter. He was a member of the Liberty Hose C o. Stockertown, which he served as assistant chief several years ago, a nd the Palmer Township Fire Co. He was of the United Church of Christ fait h.
In addition to his mother and brother, he is survived by another brothe r, Russell, Stockertown. He also leaves nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Schmidt Mortuary, Nazar eth. |
