David C. Lerch
David C. Lerch, right of way man of the Pennsylvania Edison Company, of Ea ston and the Metropolitan Edison Company of Reading, died at his home, N o. 324 Cattell Street, College Hill last evening at 9 o?clock of a complic ation of ailments, after an illness of one year. He was 68 years old.
Mr. Lerch was born in Palmer Township, this county and was a son of the la te Josiah and Emma Lerch. He had resided in Easton nearly all his life a nd was for many ears a salesman in the employ of the hay Boot and Shoe Com pany until the dissolution of that firm. For the past 11 years he has be en right of way man for the Pennsylvania Edison Company, Easton, and the M etropolitan Edison Company, Reading.
He was well and favorably known throughout Northampton, Lehigh, Berks a nd Lancaster counties, Pennsylvania and Warren County, New Jersey, throu gh his business dealing as a representative of the above companies.
Mr. Lerch is survived by his widow, who was formerly Miss Lillie Jane Bus s, and by one daughter, Miss Etta lerch, and two sons, Edgar N. Lerc h, of this city, and Walter J. Lerch, of Allentown. He also leaves two br others, Harvey E. Lerch, of 216 Burke Street, College Hill, and Cleme ns of Nazareth. Deceased was a member of the Lutheran congregation at For ks Church. |
