Andrew B. Johnson
Andrew B. Johnson, 80 years old, died last night evening at the home of h is daughter, Mrs. Samuel Grube, at Hecktown.

In addition to Mrs. Grube, he is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Geor ge Buss, of Newburg; a sister, Mrs. Emma Meixell, also of Newburg; elev en grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a life-long memb er of the Reformed Congregation of Hecktown Church.

Andrew B. Johnson, Among the families who have promoted the prosperi ty of Northampto County through agricultural pursuits is the Johnson Famil y, of which Andrew B. Johnson is a representative, and who follows the occ upation of his ancestors. His granfather, martin Johnson, was born in Palm er Township, Northampton County, on the old family homestead, and in his y outh pursued the common branches of English learning in the common school s. He made farming his life work, and married Margaret Knecht, also a nati ve of Palmer Township.

Andrew B. Johnson was born January 26, 1857, in his parent's home in Palm er townshp, bu the same year they moved to Lower nazareth Twonship, thai ng up their abode on the farm which is now the palce of residence of Andr ew B. Johnson. At the usual hage he entered the public schools, and wh en he had comleted a course of study there he took his palce at the plow,a nd has since been engaged int he development of his fields. he vote wi th the Democracy, and has held anumber of township offices. He and his fam ily attend the Reformed church.

in 1878 he married Ellen Fehr, whose father, Henry Fehr, was an agriculatu rist of Bushkill township, Northamtpon Coutny, her mother borer the maid en name of Catherine Marsh. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson had three children, but F loyd, the second child, born in 1888, died in infacy. The daughters are Ed na, born in1879 and Lizzie, born in 1889.
