Charles F. Shriner
Charles Franklin Schriner, of 62 Centre street, a veteran of the World W ar with an enviable battle record, died at 11:35 o?clock last night at t he Easton Hospital where he had been a patient for the past three week s. He had been in poor health since last winter. He had lived until Octob er 18 next he would have been 40 years old.

Mr. Schriner was a son of Peter and Sarah Hawk Schriner of Bushkill Townsh ip. During the World War he served as a machine gunner with the Machine G un Company, Fourth Infantry, Third Division, and his discharge papers sh ow that he took part in the Battle of Champagne Marne; Aisne-Marne; St. Mi hiel Meuse, Argonne, in ?other engagements? September 6 to November 11, a nd also served with the Army of Occupation in Germany. By occupation he w as a bricklayer and plasterer.

He is survived by his widow, a daughter, Irene, and the following brothe rs and sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Hawk, Highland park; Irvin Schriner, of ne ar Nazareth; Euguene Schriner, Easton; Mrs. Patrick Koehler, Nazareth; Har old Schriner and Mrs. Mary Schmoyer, of Hecktown. He was a member of For ks Lutheran Church.

Funeral of Charles Schriner
The funeral of the late Charles Schriner was held this afternoon at 2 o?cl ock at his residence, 628 Centre Street, Rev. Floyd Shafer, of Tatamy, pas tor of the Reformed congregation at Forks church, conducted the services a nd interment was made in Clearfield cemetery, Bushkill Centre.
