Mrs. George C. Hawk, Was Native of Bangor
Mrs. Myrtie K. Hawk, 76, widow of George C. Hawk, died yesterday afterno on in Easton Hospital, where she had been a patient for five days. She res ided with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hawk, 1235 Jacks on St., Easton.

Mrs. Hawk was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Fell Kauffman. S he was born in Bangor, Aug. 24, 1883.

She was of the Lutheran Faith.

Her husband died in 1944.

Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Blanche Krauss, Bangor R. D. 1; Mrs. Ric hard Evans, Bangor R. D. 2; Mrs. Mary Bartholomew, Easton; Mrs. John Fedo n, Pen Argyl; Mrs. Howard Flowers, Palmer Township; and Mrs. Joseph Gerbin o, Easton; another son, George, Palmer Township; three brothers, Jacob Kau ffman, Boothwyn; Edwin Kauffman, Forks Township, and Roland Kauffman, Bang or R. D.1: 21 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, in the Ashton Funeral Hom e, Easton, with interment following in North Bangor Cemetery.

The funeral of Mrs. Myrtie K. Hawk, 76, widow of George C. Hawk, was he ld this afternoon at the Ashton Funeral Home, Easton. Mrs. Hawk died Mond ay in Easton Hospital. She resided with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. a nd Mrs. Fred Hawk, 1235 Jackson St., Easton.

The Rev. Edward O. Lukens Jr., pastor of St. Luke?s Lutheran Church, Easto n, officiated. Interment was in North Bangor Cemetery. The pallbearers w ere John Fedon Jr., John Fedon, Donald Krauss, Albert Olsen, James Chillo t, and Howard Flowers.
