North Street, Bethlehem, received a telegram S aturday announcing the death of her father, Levi Snyder, Friday even ng at 6:30 o'clock at the home of her sister, Mrs. Laura Barton, at Orlando, Fla., in the 91st year of his age. Death was due to ailments incident to old age. H had been living with his daughter at Orlando since last December a year ago. Mr. Snyder was born at Nockamixon, Bucks County, August 4, 1934, a son of Emos and Elizabeth Datesman Snyder. He was married to Miss Susan Jacoby of Durham, who preceded him in death on September 21, 1903, while the couple resided on West Garrison Street, Bethlehem. The great part o0f their married life they resided in Bethlehem. Mr Snyder was a bricklayer by trade being apprenticed to the late Josiah George, of Bethlehem. He was a member of the Emmanuel U. E Church. He served the Bethlehem-Petersville rural mail carriers route for some time. There survive two sons and four daughters, Marion, of near Point Philips; David J. of Nazareth, Mrs. Savilla Young of Bethlehem; Mrs. Samuel Bremer of North Bishopthorpe street, Fountain Hill. Mrs. Laura Barton of Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. Edgar E. Engler of Bethlehem. There also survive 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. | ||
